LIGHT BOX

Traditional light boxes are a common sign type used in a board range of applications both internally and externally, usually produced using standard aluminium extrusions with cleats welded to create a box, and ribs to reinforce the structure.

The boxes are either powercoated or painted with 2 pack paint to match specific colours, acrylic or polycarbonate faces are inserted into the extrusion with a trim angle fixing the faces into position. Your lettering logos and graphics can be spray masked, cut and applied with translucent vinyl, or be digitally printed. Large scale lightboxes are available with a flexface material which can be produced in continuous lengths without the need for struts or joiners to support the weight or joint rigid materials together.

Light boxes are illuminated with LEDs, which are placed at the rear of the frame facing forward to illuminate the face, or more commonly side lit LEDs are placed on the top and/ or the bottom of the frame, these LEDs have focused lenses which emit and concentrate the illumination which fans across the rear surface of the face. Creating even illumination levels, with reduced component costs, and reduced energy consumption
